School History
In the year 1965 the members of the Society landed on these Islands and from then on the members work zealously for the upliftment of the Islands and the Islanders from Great Nicobar in the South to Diglipur in the North, with special regard for the poor and the marginalized. They have done a remarkable apostolate in bringing up the Catholic diocese of Port Blair. They started number of formal and non-formal educational centres in different parts of the islands.
St. Xavier School is yet another venture through which the Society wants to be of service to God and humanity in the field of education.
The educational apostolate in these islands was the long cherished dream of the society of Pilar. St. Xavier School started on 2nd July, in the year 2007. St. Xavier School is run and managed by Pilar Fathers.It is a Minority institution, established under Art. 30 (#1) of the Constitution of India.
